Young Officials Award Course


Table Tennis England Young Officials Course being held at Bishop Auckland TTC

The Table Tennis England Young Officials Award has been produced in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust, it’s main aim is to encourage more young people into umpiring and officiating in Table Tennis.

The four hour course covers:

- how to organise and deliver a wide variety of competition formats, which can be used in schools and clubs such as; Butterfly Skills Circuit, top table, ladder and group/knockout competitions.

- an introduction to basic umpiring skills.

As part of the award those that record 12 hours of voluntary work within a club, receive a Table Tennis England Young Officials polo shirt and other resources they can use to help organise and run table tennis competitions in a school or club. There are also opportunities for candidates to be invited to major events such as the UK School Games, to assist with officiating and volunteer roles.

Bishop Barrington School is located on Woodhouse Lane, on the opposite side of the road to St John's RC and Bishop Auckland College. Once inside the school grounds, follow the signs for straight on towards the sports hall.
