Rock Solid performances from Bishop Auckland Table Tennis players.

6 players from Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club took part in the Blackpool 2 star on the 23rd of April.  The youngest player of the Squad 10-year-old Jake Haygarth was the star of the day. He won the under 11s title beating a player 10 places above him in the under 11 ranking list. Jake’s run also continued in the under 13’s although going into the plate event he made the best of it and reached the final before going down. Adam Hanby also had a great day losing in his group to much higher ranked players he ended up in the plate event and made his way to the final but lost out in 5 ends.

Anya Milne the only female player in the squad also had some great performances but didn’t get any silver wear beating some highly-ranked players before going down in the quarter finals of the under 13’s and the Cadet girls.

The Junior boys event saw Jamie Collins end up in the plate event where he reached the quarter finals. Both Adam Hanby and Troy Maddison make it into the main draw before losing at the last 16 stage, Lee Tinkler who was seeded 6th surpassed his seeding and made it to the semi-final stage.
