This seasons Junior British League got underway last weekend in Derby. 

The Boys team, one of the youngest teams at the event, started with a 4-2 win over Weald club from Kent, Jake Haygarth and Adam Dennison picking up 2 wins each Ben Mold unlucky not to pick up a win going down in the 5th to 45th ranked cadet. Next up was Nottingham Sycamore with the boys narrowly going down 4-2, Luke Mitchell and Adam Dennison both picking up wins. Adam was also unlucky going down 12-10 in the 5th to England number 86 which would have given the team a draw. Nailsworth Phoenix were to strong and won 6-0 in a harsh scoreline with 3 matches going to the 5th including Ben Mold and the England number 29.
Sunday started were Saturday left off  and the luck just not on the right side for the team going down 4-2 to Fulham Brunswick. Jake and Adam picked up the 2 wins and Jake was unlucky in the match to give us a draw losing 12-10 in the 5th to number 85 in England.The final match saw a 3-3 draw with Crusaders, from Surrey Adam Dennison start man picking up two wins and Luke picked up a scalp beating a top 100 junior.  the tables sees the boys sat in 5th place going into the second weekend.

The girls team  playing in Division 2, had the same weekend as the boys with many matches going down the last match and not falling for Bishop. a narrow 4-2 loss to Ulster started the weekend, with a win each for Anya Milne and Wiktoira Smolarek. a further narrow 4-2 loss to Halton saw Wiktoira and Holly McNamara pick up a win each with Anya unlucky in her 2nd singles. The last match of Saturday saw the girls get on the scoreboard with a 3-3 draw with Greenhouse, who still haven't lost. Wiktoira was star player picking up her 2 wins  and a single for Holly. The Sunday saw the points continue for the girls picking up a 4-2 win over Byng hall, Kent. Wiktoira again picking up her two singles with 1 each from Anya and Holly. The final match saw a 5-1 loss to top side Brighton. Wiktoira picked up the single win, with Anya unlucky not to pick up a victory.

A long weekend down in Derby with plenty of lessons learnt and plenty to work on ready for next time and the reverse fixtures
